More About Me.

My name is Kayla Cobb, and I am passionate about designing unique spaces that create an effect on our everyday human experience.

I graduated from the University of Arkansas Fay Jones School of Architecture + Design with a bachelor’s degree in Interior Design. After graduation I returned to my home state of Texas and went to work for an Architecture firm in Dallas that specializes in large scale commercial projects. I was fortunate to gain experience designing in several areas of industry including education, hospitality, and church.

With almost a decade of experience with an Architecture firm, I have honed a technical skill not gained in school. Blessed with experienced mentors who pushed me to become a better designer with a wide range skill set. I enjoy creating fun and unique spaces that balance a level of comfortability and inspiration, and I’m motivated to find new solutions to challenging problems.

In my free time I enjoy spending time with my husband and our two dogs and kitty cat. I collect vinyl records and movies. I love spending time outdoors, especially if it involves anything with water (pool, lake, beach). I also enjoy being involved with my local community by working with teenagers in my Church’s student ministry!

If you are still reading this, here are my final things to help you better get to know me! I’m loud, fun, curious, clever, adventurous, open-minded and unconventional. I’m an achiever and an inspired innovator. I seek to comprehend people, the systems, and the principles that surround me. I feel it’s our job to constantly be growing and learning, as a person and in our careers. I strive for excellence in everything I do + I follow the idea that our environment directly affects our experience in life.

Feel free to reach out if you want to know anything else! I look forward to the chance of getting to work with you.
